Roger Woodall - Entrepreneur and Founder of the Bournemouth 7's Sport and Music Festival
During challenging times there are opportunities to be found if you work hard and have an incredibly positive mindset ... just like Roger Woodall.
After being brought up in a pub around colourful characters and adult influence, Roger grew quickly into the world of business, even as a young child when he fondly remembers buying tickets at the nightclub that adjoined his bedroom wall for a pound and then selling them to people in the pub late at night, when their value had increased to £2.
Roger made a decision to give up the semi-professional rugby, where he even played with World Cup Winner Martin Johnson, in order to pursue his dreams. This started a journey of enterprise, risk and reward encompassing sports brands, university events companies, an online clothing company and many many more businesses, often springing ideas into action immediately following opportunity.
Roger knows that with dedication, drive and determination, anything is possible. While being true to his strong family values, Roger visualised his successes and whilst sitting on a beach with his friend, one of these visions was to combine music, sport and the university after party vibe which culminated in founding the magnificent Bournemouth 7's Festival, attracting over 30,000 revellers.
Cancelled in 2020 due to Covid-19, did Roger reminisce and retreat? No ... he planned, and then he planned some more .... dug deep and is determined to make Bournemouth 7's 2021 the best yet ... oh, whilst also using the time in Lockdown to build yet another business!
An energetic, charismatic and hugely popular character in the field of entertainment, sports and events, Wellity are proud to present Roger Woodall.
